My Story

Ever since I can remember I have always loved crystals. I am inspired by the natural beauty of stones. When I was 6 my family moved from New York to California. My Dad had a huge 2’ x 2’ Quartz crystal he wrapped in a blanket and stashed on the floor board of our car as we crossed the country. I grew up with a passion for art, especially drawing, painting, photography and jewelry making. I made many different kinds of jewelry, but it always involved stones or crystals.

Silversmithing had alway been something I admired.

In 2014 I joined the Rouge Gem and Geology club in Southern Oregon. The club offered a Silversmithing and stone setting class taught by Laurie Anderson. Laurie studied traditional Navajo style silversmith techniques. The class was a four month corse, after the four months were up she could see I was taking it very seriously. Laurie decided to take me on as an apprentice and I continued to study with her for over a year and a half.

As my interest in silversmithing increased I started to piece my studio together. I have been steadily working in the studio ever since. I use natural stones that are never heat-treated or dyed. I enjoy working with a variety of crystals: Tourmaline, Amber, Agate, Moonstone, Opals ,Larimar, Amethyst and Turquoise. I am especially attracted to all the different varieties of Turquoise found in the United states. I enjoy how silver work accentuates the colors of Turquoise and brings the stone to life. All my pieces are hand- fabricated, hand-set and one-of-a-kind. I use only natural stones that are never heat-treated or dyed.

I work from my home studio in Arcata California. I am grateful to do the work I love and share it with you. Many thanks to all the people who have supported my creativity and to all the artist who have inspired me along my journey.
